Team Aero got in touch and asked me if I’d like to take part in a taste test. Basically, all I had to do was try out four new flavours and see which one I thought was the best. People could also vote using the specially built Facebook app to decide what the next Aero flavour should be. Power to the people and all that.

I accepted the challenge, as any chocolate-loving girl would. And so, in between wrapping Christmas presents, I tried a mouthful of chocolate from each bar hidden inside my treasure chest.

When I was younger my mum used to take part in market research and would sit us kids around and we’d all tuck into bars of white label chocolate and then say which one was our favourite - I remember they were a bit like a Milkway or a Flyte? This taste test took me right back to that time, I must have only been about 7 years old. A great job for a sweet-toothed child

The new Aero flavours proposed by Nestle are strawberry, cappuccino, lemon or white chocolate. Which one would you vote for? White chocolate was definitely my favourite. But then again, I always was a sucker for Milkybar Buttons, I think the lemon one was my surprise second favourite.

I’m looking forward to seeing it hit the shops in 2014. Check out the Aero Facebook page to find out which one was voted your winner.
