I’m stuffed upto the eyeballs full of @DukesJoint BBQ pulled pork burgers, sticky ribs, fries, strawberry Belgian beer and New York Style baked vanilla cheesecake. But it’s been worth it.

I’ve had such a great Sunday with @marcosdot trying out some quirky new (to us) east London eateries. It’s becoming quite a habit now! Dukes Brew & Que, Haggerston, did not disappoint.

The open-plan/open-kitchen style eclectic interior complemented the casual sticky-fingered dining experience on offer.

Please note: THIS IS NOT DATE FOOD! I ended up with BBQ sauce all over my face, in my hair, on my hands… EVERYWHERE!

I think this place could’ve done with providing people with a bib in preparation for tucking into the succulent barbecued pork, but oh well, we enjoyed it all the same.

When checking out their menu you’ll find that you can choose how many ribs you’d like in incremental portions.

They aren’t cheap at 2 x ribs with coleslaw and pickle garnish for about £10.50, but Oh my! They are delicious! We decided to share 3 of their mini pulled pork burgers (3 for £10) between the two of us (a non-dating couple prepared to say f*%# it!

Let’s abandon our knife and fork and eat with our fingers) and so like savages, we devoured our chosen dishes.

We’d most definitely recommend this place even if we now reek of eau de BBQ and will have to shower off splatters of errant bbq sauce.

Total cost approximately £27.50 per person including tip.
