This week, on a very hot and muggy Tuesday evening in June, I made my way across London to Push PR’s office’s in Farringdon. I was met by a host of other blogger’s invited along, by the lovely Jaclyn Craig aka Bumpkin Betty, to custom design our very own piece of Anna Lou of London jewellery.

As I arrived, the room was already alight with excitement and compliments were flying about the beautiful pieces of Anna Lou jewellery on display. There were metallic macaroons, glasses of prosecco at the ready and plenty of sparkle and conversation to top it all off.

We were given a paper template and asked to choose our favourite piece of jewellery from the collection. One that we’d like to have our own personal message engraved onto and then do a little drawing of our chosen design.

I was pleasantly surprised at the vast array of styles on offer. There appeared to be something to suit every taste; from colourful acrylic pieces to initial necklaces. From lockets to crosses, engraved name discs to inspirational dog-tags and personalised monograms.

I’d always coveted my friend Sophie’s beautiful Wright & Teague ’S’ initial bracelet and so I was pretty excited to be able to custom-design something similar of my own at Anna Lou of London.

The blogger world was well represented (see below) at the event and was hosted by über blogger Olivia Purvis, whose lovely face adorn’s the brand’s cute little postcards and website.

I have a preference for gold/rose-gold jewellery and was delighted at the huge amount of choice. My favourite pieces from the collection were the textured bracelets, £38, engraved heart bracelet, £60, and the rose gold love locket, £108.

For anyone looking for birthday/wedding/declaration of love gift inspiration I'd definitely recommend having a look at Anna Lou’s website. www.annalouoflondon.com

I decided to choose the heart-shaped love locket as my #AnnaLouofLondon piece. I can’t wait to see what it looks like with my bespoke message engraved. It’s a beautiful locket which opens up and even has space to include a little photograph of your beloved. man/mum/dad/dog/bestfriend/cat (delete as appropriate.)

The finished love locket should be delivered in a couple of weeks time. And so I’ll share a few photos of it on my blog when it’s ready to wear (see photos above for a few sneak-peaks of what the blank love locket looks like.)

A huge thank you to Jaclyn Craig and Anna Lou of London for the invitation. I had  great evening with you all.
