Embrace your inner domestic goddess (or god) this Sunday afternoon.

If, like me, you can’t stand the lingering smell of over-ripe bananas in your kitchen, don’t throw them away! Bung them in a mixer and try out this great banana loaf recipe as featured in @BritishBakeOff star Mary Berry’s Baking Bible. I added some dark chocolate flakes and white chocolate chips to my version. A similar Mary Berry recipe can also be viewed on the BBC - Food website here.

This banana loaf cake is a win every time! It is light, kind of healthy, and I even eat it for breakfast with a cup of tea. Yum!

I try and buy my recipe books off Amazon. This Mary Berry Baking Bible was second-hand but still in excellent condition. Check out my Amazon wishlist to find out which recipe books I’m hankering after for my collection.

If you missed my homemade pie recipe, read it here. Or if you fancy trying your hand at baking fancy red velvet cupcakes, you can see my first attempt at making them here.
