It was over two years ago now when I first stepped foot inside Bethnal Green’s rather salubrious Town Hall Hotel. It’s a fancy joint.

I went for lunch with family, and had the pleasure of dining in the Corner Room. We feastedon an array of delectable dishes by Nuno Mendes. I blogged about it, obviously - click here to read the Corner Room post. 

Anyway, this time around, I was invited as a guest of the Singapore Tourism Board and Unlisted Collection, to a sensory evening full of stories about Singapore’s art, food and culture.

The Town Hall Hotel is just one of the beautiful brands listed in the Unlisted Collection’s exclusive portfolio. 

The thing I love about Unlisted Collection hotels is that each and every one of them has real personality. Town Hall Hotel is like a cheeky, little hipster, with expensive taste and a love of sex (see above wood carving and gorgeous bedrooms!). Take a look at their Instagram and you’ll see what I mean.

James and I, and a group of other travel bloggers and journalists, were greeted with Singaporean Ondeh Ondeh cocktails, and then taken on a tour of the hotel.

The rooms and apartments are really nice. I already live in London, but I still want to spend a weekend here. I believe there is even one guest who has stayed with them for over a year – it’s too good to leave! If you do stay,don’t forget to say hello to their gorgeous Greyhound, Dizzy. She is such a gentle creature, adopted by the hotel, from the Retired Greyhound Trust.

We nibbled on Singaporean snacks by Anthony Yeoh and enjoyed a very energetic musical performance by the amazing group, Nada.

I really enjoyed meeting a few new travel bloggers too, check out Rexy Edventures, Travel with a Mate, Hand Luggage Only, Roaming Required, Ladies What Traveland it’s always nice seeing familiar faces, like my blogger friend Kristabel ~ I Want You To Know.

The multi-sensory art installations were a great way of immersing yourself in a place and time, either thousands of miles away or decades ago. Note to self: attend more art exhibitions.

Having travelled to Singapore back in October 2015, I was definitely taken back there when I got a whiff of the ‘Singapore Taxi’ scent created by The Memory Project. I’d go back there in an instant!
