Lucie loves... Mmm! #triedandtested // Great coffee and delicious Zardosht summer salads from @Cafeoto, Dalston

A couple of weekends ago I met up with my friends Roz and Marcos. We went in search of the Dalston House instalation by artist Leandro Erlich, situated at 1-7 Ashwin Street in Dalston.

There were queues of people lining the street waiting to go in and try out this cool new art installation. Read more about Dalston House here.

Whilst we waited, we went in search of food and passed by Cafe OTO, 18-22 Ashwin Street. Cafe OTO is just down the road. We decided to take a seat outside, order coffee and feast on delicious bulgar wheat salads, home-made flatbreads and houmous.

Cafe OTO has that New York Brooklyn loft type feel. (I’ve never been to NYC, but I’ve watched enough Gossip Girl to know what Dan Humphrey’s amazing loft apartment looked like!)

Cafe OTO opened in April 2008 with the aim of providing a home for creative new music that exists outside of the mainstream. Cafe OTO is comprised of one large cafe/performance space open during the day as a cafe and hosting an evening programme of adventurous live music almost seven nights a week.”

It’s full of creative-looking folk tapping away on their sexy Macbook pro’s and sipping on Fazenda coffee. They also host live music and have an extensive programme of events. I can’t wait to go back.
