Lucie Loves... Lifestyle // Get down to the gin off at the Graphic Bar, Soho

Hoorah - no Sunday Blues for me; for once I’m actually looking forward to Monday and no it has nothing to do with the exciting things I have lined up at work, but instead because I’m going to Graphic Bar Gin Social tonight. Gin enthusiasts at Graphic have invited sixteen of the most exciting gin brands to compete in the ultimate juniper-infused battle of the bottles. Described as ‘The FA Cup of Gin’ The Graphic Gin Off kicked off on Wednesday 24th February 2016 when all sixteen brands gathered at Graphic to be allocated their first round ‘fixtures’ and have photographs taken. Having all provided a bartender to create one representative cocktail for guests to vote for, the brands will begin the battle with the first round taking place this Monday 18th April 2016. The 2016 fixtures: Round 1 – April 18th – Plymouth, Bols Genever, Copper Head, Whitley Neill Round 2 – May 23rd – Thomas Dakin, Slingsby, Boxer, East LDN Liquor Co. Round 3 – June 20th – Ungava, Silent Pool, Pink Pepper, Hayman’s Round 4 – July 18th – Boodles, Tarquins, Sipsmith, Martin Millers Guests will be given the chance to play Simon Cowell and act as the head judge of the competition. Voting with polling card while sipping on a welcome Gin & Tonic. A master of ceremonies will lead the evening’s action and Graphic’s in-house DJ will provide a soundtrack to the event. The participating brands will concoct imaginative bespoke cocktails to be judged in a series of intense rounds, running from April through the grand finale in November. Located in Golden Square, Graphic Bar boasts London’s largest gin collection, featuring an impressive 300 plus world class gins.  I for one can’t wait – bring on Monday!
