From 7 February - 8 March 2015 the rather stunning orchid festival returns to Kew Gardens once more. Stunning displays, seriously cool science and hands-on workshops mean that there is something about orchids for everyone.

To give you a flavour of what it’s like, here are a few photographs that I took during my lunchtime visit last year. 

For those of you who’ve been to Lates at the Natural History Museum or the Science Museum, you’ll be pleased to know that Kew Gardens is joining in the after-hours fun.

Kew Lates

Alluring Orchids Lates: 19, 26 February and 5 March 2015 (NB: Tickets for Lates are sold separately. 

Join us for an exciting programme of Lates events at Kew Gardens. During the Alluring Orchids festival, the Princess of Wales Conservatory will reopen after dark on three consecutive Thursdays from 19 Feburary. These Kew Lates evenings will feature a botanical cocktail bar, talks, music and crafts set in the beautiful surroundings of the glasshouse.
